What to Expect Before Your Chandelier Installation
Please review the following information to help ensure your appointment runs smoothly and on time. This page is provided to all confirmed clients via SMS and includes key details, policies, and helpful reminders.
1. Preparation Checklist
- Ensure the chandelier has arrived, is unpacked, and is ready for installation.
- Verify all parts are present: crystals, mounting bracket, chain, canopy, etc.
- Clear a path and work area beneath the installation site (move furniture and rugs).
- Ensure ceiling height is accurate and attic access is available if required.
2. Lightbulbs & Electrical Accessories
Please remember to purchase and have all lightbulbs ready prior to installation. We are happy to install them, but this service is not included for free. If bulbs are missing or unavailable at the time of service, and the client must leave to purchase them, additional wait time will be billed at our hourly rate.
3. Packaging & Debris
We do not haul away chandelier boxes, crates, or packing materials unless the fixture was purchased directly from us. Please arrange for your own disposal. If you would like us to handle it, a separate fee applies and must be discussed in advance.
4. Safety & Site Access
- Secure pets and children during installation, especially when ladders or scaffolding are in use.
- Ensure clear and unobstructed access from your door to the install area.
- If attic access is required, make sure it is reachable and safe for entry.
5. Payment & Add-Ons
Final payment is due upon completion of service unless pre-arranged. Additional services such as attic access, ceiling reinforcement, or heavy fixture labor (over 50 lbs) will be quoted and billed separately if needed.
6. Rescheduling & Delays
If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Delays caused by incomplete prep (missing bulbs, access issues, unpacking delays, etc.) may result in additional charges.
